Dr. Idorenyin Meme Sam is an Associate Professor of Animal Science at Akwa Ibom State University, specializing in Animal Breeding and Genetics. She holds a B.Agric. from the University of Uyo (2002) and earned her M.Sc. (2006) and Ph.D. (2012) from Ahmadu Bello University.
Her research focuses on biochemical genetics, contributing to improved livestock productivity and sustainable animal production. She has published widely and presented at conferences.
Dr. Sam teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate courses and has supervised numerous student projects and theses. She is a member of professional bodies such as NSAP, ASAN, and GSN.
She has also held several administrative roles within her department and remains committed to academic excellence, research, and capacity building. She is married with four children.
