Dr. Aniekan Otoh is a Nigerian aquaculture scientist specializing in fish breeding. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Agriculture, Umudike, where he focused on advanced techniques in freshwater aquaculture and fish reproductive biology.
Dr. Otoh’s research expertise encompasses fingerlings production, formulation of cost-effective fish feeds using locally available raw materials, and hormonal manipulation to reduce the duration of sexual maturity in Heterobranchus longifilis. His work aims to enhance aquaculture productivity by improving growth performance, reproductive efficiency, and sustainable feed strategies for economically important fish species.
He is actively involved in research and mentorship, contributing to the development of innovative solutions in aquaculture and supporting sustainable fish farming practices across Nigeria and the West African region.
